Summit Mountain Challenge 2026

Summit Mountain Challenge is a six-race summer mountain bike series on the trails of Summit County, Colorado, featuring Wednesday evening races from May through August. Participants can select long, short, or kids courses, and to qualify for series points, riders must complete five of the six races within the same course category. The courses utilize fast trails and significant climbs, with routes located in the White River National Forest under a USDA Forest Service special use permit. The series concludes with the Breckenridge Classic. Breckenridge Recreation now manages the series, having taken over from Jeff Wescott of Maverick Sports Promotions. The organizer's goal is to provide fun, affordable, well-organized events that unite local riders.
