About this race
The Bay Ridge Half Marathon is a flat, fast half marathon on the Shore Road Promenade in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, with the Verrazano Bridge visible for much of the run. It serves as a tune-up for runners preparing for the NYC Marathon. Race-day logistics are straightforward: bib pickup is on the morning of the race, with baggage check nearby, and aid stations are positioned approximately every mile.
The course consists of three 4.36-mile loops along the waterfront. This setup means runners pass the same support points and spectators multiple times rather than following a long point-to-point path. The finish line is at the American Veterans Memorial Pier, and the route offers repeated views of Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, the harbor, and the bridge.
