About this race
Trail Fest at Graham Swamp is a full-day trail event held at the Graham Swamp Mountain Bike Trail on Colbert Lane in Palm Coast, Florida. The races include a 5k run, a 10k run, a two-lap mountain bike race covering approximately 14 miles, and the Gator Challenge, which combines the 10k run and the bike race. The 5k and 10k begin in the morning, followed by a free kids run of about half a mile. Registration provides a Trail Fest shirt, professional timing with live results, course support, a finisher award, yoga in the woods, live music, and post-race food and beer.
The trail itself provides the event's challenge. Organizers describe Graham Swamp as Flagler County's toughest trail, featuring roots, rocks, soft sand, sharp switchbacks, and steep climbs and descents along the route. Runners compete for overall and age-group awards in the 5k and 10k. Mountain bikers vie for junior and adult category awards; e-bikes are prohibited in the bike race. The Gator Challenge is a notable tradition: completing the 10k run and the two-lap mountain bike race on the same day earns the Graham Swamp GATOR title and a distinct Gator award.
