Waverly Winter Warrior 2026

Waverly Winter Warrior is a winter trail race at Waverly Park in Louisville, Kentucky, offering a 6.5-mile option and a half marathon. It is one event in the Winter Warrior Trail Series, a four-race series held at different local parks, providing runners a way to continue racing during the colder months. Runners can register on-site or opt for a virtual participation; each race recognizes the top overall male and female finishers. The Waverly course begins and ends near the Playground Parking Lot, proceeds toward the lake, and enters the trails by the dog park. The majority of the route follows the rightmost trail selections and incorporates named sections such as Twisting Bends, Clinic Loop, and Fresh Air Loops. Virtual participants still contribute to Winter Warrior status, though they are ineligible for event or series awards. Completing three of the four races earns the Winter Warrior medal and shirt, while finishing the entire series grants Warrior status; the other races are Deam Lake Winter Warrior, Rose Island Winter Warrior, and Ol' Silty Winter Warrior.
