The problem is, ERG and MRC files don’t have any concept of a lap, so there is no way to support this. Mark from GC and I talked before about extending MRC/ERG to support this, but we did not do this work.

We want to add a search to the “my library” page, but for now, paid members can use the “my library” feature on the search page. See screenshot below.

TrainerRoad and Zwift support importing of text prompts. Wahoo also has text prompts, but the only way to get them there is via a plan file which we don’t currently support. If you change the type field in the workout editor and send to TrainingPeaks and then to Wahoo, you will see this description, which is like having a text prompt feature. We plan on building a rich text editor.

There are two reasons we send watts rather than percent to Garmin. One is on your screen when training, most users prefer to see the target watts not the target%. Second, is that only new devices work with percent based workouts? Make sure you have your FTP set correctly in TrainerDay before sending your workouts to Garmin and you might want to periodically delete your workouts from Garmin and re-push as your FTP changes.

Yes, we recently made this a free feature. Only some workouts make sense for HR workouts. We have a blog post explaining this in the “learn” section of our site.

Garmin only supports 50-steps in a workout. You can clone a workout and copy and paste into Google Sheets or Excel to see how many rows it is. Because Garmin does not support ramps we convert ramps to steps which 1-row in the workout editor could be 10-steps when it gets to Garmin. We are thinking if we can improve this a bit by reducing the # of steps in the conversion to make more workouts qualify for under 50-steps.

Yes, you can use the free version of TrainerDay and the free version of TrainingPeaks and send workouts to other platforms like Zwift, Wahoo, Bkool and many more. The limitation in TrainingPeaks is you must do it each day before you workout, you can plan in advance.

    Comment on this FAQ

Yes, it is. You just need to use the paid version to send an entire plan to TrainingPeaks but you can push one workout at at time, for free.

At this time, no. I have talked to Lachlan from HurtsErgo and he let the platfom go for a while but he is considering working on it again and re-integrating with TrainerDay/ERGdb.

We have direct Garmin and TrainingPeaks integrations. TrainingPeaks supports integration with about 20 different platforms.

You can download MRC, ERG and ZWO files to use in a lot of different training apps and devices. GoldenCheetah works with ANT+ on PC or Mac and is free. I have heard ERGVideo has a solid free-version for PC that also supports importing files. Zwift, TrainerRoad and Wahoo are the other major apps/devices that you can import these files into. Rouvy also supports importing MRC files but does not support ramps in workouts. I will try to keep up dating this list. I know there is a lot more.

You must send a request to use using the contact form or the email at the bottom of the site. It’s not that easy for us, so please try to only do this if it is really important for you. We will do it without a problem if it is. Thanks,

    Comment on this FAQ

Both Garmin and TrainingPeaks don’t support ramps. We have a magic converter that tries to pick the right # of steps. You can see in our feature requests people would like to make manual adjustments. We are thinking maybe just improve it.

    Comment on this FAQ

Rouvy does not support ramps. We have an automatic converter from ramps to steps on both our TrainingPeaks export and our Garmin Export. You can set up a free TrainingPeaks account and send a workout from TrainerDay to TrainingPeaks and download the MRC there and it will have some nice even steps instead of ramps.
