At Les Foulées Châtillonnaises, runners begin on Avenue Clément Perrière in Châtillon, southwest of Paris in Hauts-de-Seine, and conclude on the track within the Guy Môquet municipal stadium. The event takes place in mid-October, focusing on road running with 5 km and 10 km races as the primary distances. A 3.5 km walk and a 1.5 km family race are also offered, ensuring the day accommodates more than just regular runners. The 10 km race has a 1 hour 30 minute time limit, and both the 5 km and 10 km events limit entries to 800 participants each.
The route specifics are provided by the organisers, but the most distinct course element is the stadium finish, offering a formal track conclusion instead of a standard street finish. Families, local Châtillon runners, younger participants, walkers, and 10 km runners each have designated slots in the schedule. Entry fees are modest, starting at a few euros for shorter events and reaching €10 for the 10 km. All proceeds and profits are directed to Institut Curie for cancer research and care. Participants receive a medal, with refreshments available post-race. Awards are presented to the top men and women, the leading local male and female runners, and the foremost young competitors. The organisers forgo t-shirts and other extras as part of their environmentally conscious strategy.
