ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Cannes begins at the Fort, sending participants directly into the bay of Cannes, alternating between swimming and running. This autumn swimrun offers three distances: Experience, Sprint, and the World Series race. The Experience and Sprint races are open to individuals or pairs, while the World Series distance is exclusively for pairs. The longest course measures 29.9 km, with 8.7 km of swimming, distinguishing it from a typical road race with a short swim.
The route incorporates roads, paths, trails, coastal stretches, city streets, and varied terrain, featuring Zamenhof beach and the Monastery island of St Honorat. The course's varied nature is intentional: the longest swim is 700 m and the longest run is 2,100 m, requiring frequent transitions rather than sustained effort. Post-race, Cannes offers easy access to La Croisette and the primary areas for post-event activities.
