The Brackley & District Running Club organizes the 10km Chicken Run. The race is named because the town is near Silverstone and has a large chicken processing plant. This yearly event begins and ends on the High Street park in the town center. A rolling road closure is in place for the start.
Runners will navigate a course featuring tarmac roads and grass paths on a loop with hills. The route includes a mile-long section across Hinton Airfield and a short trail through woods. Participants change in tents marked 'Hen' and 'Rooster' before reaching a post-race fuel station and receiving free massages.
