Cheyenne Schools Foundation - Run for 1 2026

Run for #1 is a school-support race in Cheyenne, Wyoming, held in September at Central High School. Check-in is in the Commons Area before a morning start, and the event is set up for a broad local crowd rather than just competitive runners. The Cheyenne Schools Foundation organizes it to support Laramie County School District #1 through teacher grants. The race starts from Central High School and welcomes students, adults, dogs, and participants using mobility aids. Part of each entry fee goes to the school chosen during registration: student entries send $1 to that school, and adult entries send $3. Schools at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels can also earn $500 for their general fund by raising the most money or having the highest student participation rate, while the remaining proceeds fund grants for district teachers.
