Running for Africa is a morning race at The Park at Hayes Farm in Huntsville, Alabama. The 5K run starts at 8:00 AM, and a 1-mile fun run/walk begins at 9:00 AM. Gates open at 7:00 AM, with late registration available on site. Fleet Feet Huntsville/Madison supports the event.
The race raises funds for Archangel Group International, a nonprofit established by Decatur Police Officer Jonathan Macklin. The organization operates in Africa to combat poverty and human trafficking, aid families, build community capacity, and offer law enforcement training. Early registrants receive complimentary race shirts, and trophies are awarded to top finishers.
