PSV-Winterlaufserie Holzminden - 4. Lauf 2026

The PSV-Winterlaufserie Holzminden is a running and walking series held at Sportpark Liebigstraße in Holzminden, Lower Saxony, starting at 9:30 AM. Organized by Post-SV Holzminden, the series spans eight dates, offering races of 5 km, 10 km, and a 16.5 km option, alongside walking and Nordic walking routes of approximately 5 km and 9.8 km. All age groups are welcome; participants can register for individual dates or compete for the series ranking by finishing at least three races of the same distance. The series, established in 1985, is now in its 40th year, marking it as a consistent local winter event. The 16.5 km distance was introduced to replace the former 20 km route due to lower participation, providing a longer option than 10 km suitable for training. Approximately half of the participants typically come from the nearby Höxter sports region, with the starting field comprising club athletes, faster runners, novices, and those resuming their running activity. The German Athletics Association officially sanctions the race, ensuring insurance coverage and scheduling alignment with other events.
