Frida Fun Run

The Frida Fun Run begins and ends at Fresno City College in central Fresno, California, offering 5K and 2K routes suitable for running or walking. This yearly event, part of Hispanic Heritage Month, is organized by the Fresno County League of Mexican American Women. It is designed for walkers, runners, families, first-time participants, and local racers, not exclusively competitive athletes. The race generates funds for the LMAW Scholarship Fund, aiding students in Fresno County and the Central Valley. The League has awarded over $650,000 in scholarships, linking a community fitness day with an ongoing educational mission. A unique aspect is the Frida Kahlo theme, where participants wear Frida-inspired attire while honoring Hispanic heritage and supporting local students.
