Phil Rogers Park anchors the Rainbow Beach Trail Running Festival, with courses venturing into the Cooloola Coast’s "iconic coloured sand cliffs" instead of circling a park path. It offers a genuine coastal trail experience: single track, fire roads, beach running, and ample sand and exposure to challenge your legs. Expect "lush forests, perched lakes, towering sand dunes" and open sections with "panoramic views of the Coral Sea". The longest route includes the historic lighthouse and broad coastal views, while all routes begin and end at Phil Rogers Park. The event caters to trail beginners aged 12 and up, alongside seasoned runners. A no-cup policy requires participants to carry their own hydration between aid stations.
