Hallwilerseelauf

Hallwilerseelauf is a Swiss running event at Lake Hallwil, offering race options from 5 km up to a half marathon. Held in October, it accommodates both solo runners and teams, featuring short and longer categories instead of a single main distance for all participants. The first edition took place in 1975, with a few hundred metres of wet field path between Aesch and Meisterschwanden presenting the day's greatest challenge. The current setup provides online registration, a runner booklet detailing routes, start times, refreshments, and tips, participant photos, finisher prizes, and race-day audio from a DJ and a live sports announcer.
