Carrera Popular Villa de Monda

The Carrera Popular Villa de Monda begins and concludes in Plaza de la Constitución, Monda's main square in Málaga province. This local road race, organized by Monda City Council, typically features an 11.5 km main race. The event is scheduled for late October and is certified by the Andalusian Athletics Federation. The course winds through Monda's town center and adjacent areas, offering runners a mix of village streets and nearby outskirts instead of a circuit. Participants come from across Málaga province. The day also features school races for younger participants over distances from 500 to 2,100 meters. Now in its double-digit editions, the event provides awards for the top three men and women in each category, participant T-shirts, medical support, and amenities like showers, changing rooms, and bag storage at the town's sports facilities.
