The Grands Trails d'Auvergne is a three-day trail-running series held in Aubusson-d'Auvergne, located in the Puy-de-Dôme department of central France. Its main event is the 100Miles Auvergne Ultra-Trail l'Integral, a mountain ultra covering approximately 177 km with around 6,700 meters of elevation gain, available for solo participants and two-person teams. The series takes place over an October weekend, featuring shorter races for those seeking the same terrain without the full ultra commitment.
The race distances include the 177 km course, a 360° Ultra-Trail of about 130 km, an 80 km ultra, the 50 km Trail des Druides, the 27 km Trail du Lac, and a 16 km Speed-Trail. Most distances offer solo and duo options, catering to experienced ultra-runners, pairs tackling a long distance together, and trail runners progressing from shorter mountain races. Even the shortest race involves over 570 meters of climbing, and the 27 km Trail du Lac gains close to 1,000 meters, indicating a challenging Auvergne weekend rather than a flat running event.
