The Silesian Uprising Memorial Run is a June running event in southern Poland, held at Góra św. Anny near the Museum of the Uprising. The main race provides 5 km and 10 km distances. The Góra św. Anny course is a 5 km cross-country loop, meaning 10 km participants complete it twice. It is organized as a community event, not a large city race, and includes children’s races. Entry to the Góra św. Anny race is free.
The course winds through the avenues of Kalwaria and into wooded, hilly terrain, presenting a challenging park-and-trail run rather than a flat road race. The event honors the Silesian Uprisings, with the museum setting integrating the history into the day. Participants receive a commemorative medal, arm warmers in their start package, and awards are given for the overall 5 km and 10 km races, 10 km age groups, disabled athletes, and male and female residents of Opole Voivodeship.
