Challenge Poland is a Challenge Family triathlon held in Gdańsk, located on Poland’s Baltic coast. The finish line is situated at Gdańsk Pier, with the finisher area on the beach. The primary middle-distance race features a 1.9 km sea swim, a 90 km bike leg, and a 21.1 km run. The sprint distance includes a 750 m swim, a 20 km bike leg, and a 5 km run. The event also offers a women’s 5 km run and Junior Challenge races, which are short swim-and-run formats for younger participants.
The middle-distance bike course is designed for speed, with only 68 m of elevation gain. The run course is nearly flat, with 8 m of elevation gain. Athletes will follow a route along the beach and through woodland parks, providing a coastal feel without being a demanding, hilly course. Professional athletes can compete in the middle distance for prize money and ranking points. Age-group athletes have the option to race solo or participate as a team in the middle and sprint events using the “tri together” option. Challenge Family athletes recognized this event as Race of the Year, highlighting the appeal of its seaside location, fast course, and pier finish among participants.
