Hornická desítka is a road race held in November in Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic. The main event is a certified 10 km run starting in the afternoon. The race's name reflects its origins: it began as a 15 km run between the Paskov and Staříč mines, with the direction reversed in alternating years. Following disruptions and the Paskov Mine's closure, the event relocated to nearby Frýdek-Místek. TJ Slezan Frýdek-Místek assumed organization, and the distance was reduced to ten kilometers.
The race day now includes more than just the 10 km. Shorter morning races for children and youth cover 100 m and 300 m, with an option for parents to run with young children. There is also a 1 km Run for Health and a 3.2 km race for those seeking a shorter competition. The 10 km and 2-mile courses are certified by the Czech Athletics Association. The participants typically include general runners, children, club athletes, and skilled Czech runners. Participation has grown from a few hundred in the early years to approximately 2,000-3,000 runners in larger editions.
