Daytona 100 Ultra is a point-to-point road race on Florida's East Coast, running S.R. A1A from Jacksonville Beach to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse south of Daytona Beach. Participants can select 100 miles, 50 miles, or 50 kilometers. A six-person relay is available for the 100-mile distance. The event takes place in December on a long, flat road course, not on trails.
The route remains on the barrier island throughout, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway visible for much of the run. Its flat nature makes it a suitable option for a first ultra or a personal-record attempt, though the pavement and coastal distance require careful pacing. The finish is at the base of the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, providing a distinct landmark. Runners 4 Recovery in Jacksonville is the designated charity, assisting individuals in recovery from alcohol or drug addiction, and also staffing an aid station at the Church of the Nazarene in St. Augustine.
