Independence Day 5K / 1 Mile

The Independence Day 5K / 1 Mile begins at 7:30 a.m. CDT in Marksville, Louisiana, on Independence Day. This community run offers two options: a 5K or a 1-mile event, both at the same price. It is intended for runners, walkers, families, neighbors, and anyone wishing to start the holiday outdoors and active. The course winds through the community, and participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue. This is the second annual edition of the race. It is scheduled before the day's Art's & Music Festival, serving as a morning activity to precede Marksville's other holiday events.
