Kiawah Island Marathon 2026

The Kiawah Island Marathon takes place in December on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Both the full marathon and half marathon begin and end in West Beach Village. The race is held within the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, utilizing USATF-certified courses. This ensures runners seeking a precise 26.2 or 13.1 miles have an official course, distinct from a typical resort run. The course winds through the island community, featuring maritime forest, marshland, and large residences before concluding at the West Beach finish area. The half marathon is open to participants aged 14 and older, while the full marathon requires participants to be 18 or older. Age-group awards are presented for both men and women. Entry numbers are limited, and off-island runners are provided a shuttle from parking. The finish area offers medals, long-sleeve shirts, food, beer, and entertainment.
