Carrera Popular del Pavo

The Carrera Popular del Pavo is a December community race in Ayamonte, taking place at Costa Esuri Golf Club and organized by the town’s Municipal Sports Board. The main race covers 6,000 meters, complemented by a 400-meter run for the youngest participants, and registration is free. This event welcomes runners of all ages, from under-8 children to veteran competitors, emphasizing local involvement over an elite focus. Now in its twenty-ninth year, the race awards trophies and medals by category. True to its name, the overall winner receives a turkey as the prize.
