Mały Memoriał Żylewicza directs amateur runners to the LA GOS Stadium in Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz for a 3 km race, instead of a road loop through the city. It is open to women and men aged 16 and over, with a field capped at 100 starters and a 40 PLN entry fee. The race is part of the Józef Żylewicz Memorial, an annual athletics meeting organized by KL Lechia Gdańsk since 1973 to honor a Gdańsk coach, teacher, and sports enthusiast.
The amateur 3000-meter race is named Strzała Północy, or Arrow of the North. The wider program uses the same stadium for main memorial events, school Swedish relays, and competitions for people with disabilities. Top athletes from Poland and abroad compete alongside children, youth athletes, club runners, and local amateurs. Families can also use the Athletics for Everyone festival area near the stadium, and spectators can watch without a ticket. The senior memorial is part of the Polish Athletics Cup, is listed on the European Athletics meetings calendar, and can serve as a national-team qualifying meet.
