Informazioni su questa gara
The Goat Rattler 100 is a 101.5-mile trail ultra in Ogden, Utah, featuring approximately 22,500 feet of elevation gain on a course that is almost entirely singletrack. The race embraces difficulty with steep climbs, extended durations, and significant exertion, yet the route also provides runners with mountain vistas and narrow trails for most of the day. No prior entry requirements exist, allowing the field to comprise seasoned 100-mile competitors and individuals attempting their first ultra with considerable ambition.
Each participant is equipped with a Garmin InReach device, and the race offers live GPS tracking on its website, enabling crews to monitor their runner's location rather than waiting at aid stations. Spectators have multiple opportunities to offer encouragement within the initial 17 miles. A distinctive midrace element occurs at Pineview Dam, where runners must board a brief 1.5-mile safety shuttle at mile 48.8 before resuming their run immediately to avoid disqualification. The shuttle vehicles play Beastie Boys' "Sabotage," hinting at the race's playful spirit.
