Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Race is a small trail event at Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, organized by the Annapolis Striders. Runners choose between a 50K and a 20K, with the field capped at 250 people. The race uses the park’s 9.5-mile perimeter singletrack and meadow sections, offering a local woods race feel rather than a road ultra with some dirt.
The 50K is about 3.25 loops with roughly 2,600 feet of climbing, while the 20K covers about 1.25 loops. Most miles are on smooth, deep-woods singletrack, but runners still navigate rolling hills, roots, rocks, and the rhythm of a loop course. White pie plates and white confidence ribbons mark the route. Two staffed aid stations support the course, and 50K runners can access drop bags near the start/finish pavilion around the 5K, 20K, and 35K points, though the bag area is uncovered. Awards go to the top three men and women in each distance, plus the top male and female military finishers. The post-race scene includes hot food, fire pits, music, and yard games.
