The International Wiener Herbstmarathon, hosted by LCC-Wien, takes place in Vienna’s Prater park during autumn. The start and finish lines are situated on the Hauptallee, close to Stadionbad. Participants can select from a 7 km run, a half marathon, or a full marathon. Relay options are available for the half and full marathon distances. This event prioritizes practical aspects for runners: the course is AIMS-measured, timing is managed with Champion-Chip, and aid stations are provided along the route.
The course consists of a 7.0325 km asphalt loop within the Prater’s green expanse. It has minimal elevation change, under one meter per lap. The 7 km race comprises a single loop, the half marathon requires three loops, and the marathon involves six loops, each with a single turnaround point. Relay teams divide the distances efficiently, with three runners completing the half marathon relay and six runners covering the marathon relay, with each segment approximately 7 km.
