Purgstaller Marktlauf (Moststraße Laufcup) 2026

The Purgstaller Marktlauf takes place in Purgstall, marking the final event of the Moststraße Laufcup, a twelve-race regional running series. The primary race is a fast 6.4 km course, where the final cup standings are determined. The event is scheduled for autumn and designed as a family race day, featuring children’s and youth races, an inclusion run, and a mixed relay alongside the main competition. The shorter races define much of the day's structure: the youngest children compete over 300 m, U8 runners race 600 m, WU12 runners complete 1,280 m, and U14 runners run 2,560 m. Local clubs send large contingents across all age groups; one report noted LCN starting 27 athletes and achieving 11 podium finishes. The series finale also hosts the Moststraße Laufcup's closing award ceremony, making Purgstall both the last race location and the site where the series champions are honored.
