Běh na Krušnou horu

Běh na Krušnou horu is a short uphill race near Hudlice, approximately 9 km from Beroun in Central Bohemia. It is part of the KOPEC series of hill runs around Prague, where participants return for steep, compact efforts rather than extended road races. The race covers 2.7 km and gains 190 meters in elevation, making it a brief but demanding run from the outset. The first category begins at 11:00, with race specifics posted on the KOPEC website's races section shortly before the event. The start is located at the end of Dolejší street in Hudlice, near a forest path junction. The entire course follows a wide gravel forest road along the southeastern edge of the Křivoklát forests, concluding on Krušná hora, directly beneath the Máminka lookout tower at the summit. The inaugural event attracted 81 participants (24 women, 57 men), including individuals who view these hill races as a regular social gathering as much as a contest. The organizer, TOBI Sport s.r.o. via Pavel Kundrát, emerged from this runner community and established the race as a means to give back to those who gather annually on the hills to compete, measure themselves, and enjoy the day together.
