Silvestrovský běh - memoriál Richarda Plcha is a running event held in Brno at the end of the year, organized by Athleti Moravská Slavia. It stands as one of the city's established sports traditions, featuring children's and youth races in the morning, followed by a 1,640 m public run and main races of 4,920 m and 9,840 m. The courses consist of asphalt and firm paved paths, making the race more akin to a city-park road run rather than a trail event. The youngest participants will run distances ranging from 100 m to 1,640 m, while adults have the option of a short public race or the longer main distances. The event also serves as a memorial for Richard Plch, with prizes awarded to the top three finishers in each category.
