Zbraslavská závist

Zbraslavská Závist is a short uphill race in Prague-Zbraslav, starting near the station and finishing at Hradiště Závist. The route is only 3.5 km, but it climbs 190 metres, concentrating the effort into a steep run rather than a long road race. It is part of the Běhy do kopců v Praze a okolí series, the Prague and surrounding-area hill-running circuit, and starts in the late morning with two waves a few minutes apart. The course goes from Zbraslav onto forest paths and up to the former Celtic hillfort at Závist, a prominent high point on the southern edge of Prague. Runners can register online or on the day near the meadow by the former mini-ZOO. The entry fee is 50 CZK. Spolek Kopec organizes the race, offering twelve age categories and small material prizes for the top three in each, with results announced shortly after the finish.
