Entre Castells Nocturna Vilajuïga

The Entre Castells Nocturna Vilajuïga is an 8 km summer mountain race held in Vilajuïga, organized by Grup Excursionista Capgirell Vilajuïga. It begins at the Centre Cultural i Esportiu, maintaining a compact format with trails and tracks, 204 meters of elevation gain, and a route the organizers suggest is accessible to all runners, not just seasoned mountain athletes. The course ascends first to the Font de Mas Bartret, descends towards the upper village, and then follows the track through Sureda Fosca to Mas d’en Julio. From Mas d’en Julio, it heads down towards the Sant Pere de Rodes road, passes beneath it, runs through the riverbed, and reaches the dolmen path before the steepest ascent to Roc de l’Àguila. The final stretch descends from this high point, offering views across the Empordà plain and towards Cap de Creus Natural Park.
