La Sagra Skyrace is a late-September mountain running event held in Puebla de Don Fadrique, Granada, Andalusia. The races utilize the Sierra de La Sagra, with a significant portion of the course within the Red Natura 2000 Special Area of Conservation. The event offers three primary distances: the 42 km La Sagra Skyramaratón featuring 2600 m of elevation gain, the 28 km La Sagra Skyrace with 2000 m of climbing, and the 16 km La Sagra Skytrail covering 850 m of ascent. A 12.43 km hiking option with 422 m of climbing is also available.
The 42 km and 28 km races are single-loop courses, starting and finishing on Avda. Santas Mártires. Each of the three running races attracts approximately 150 participants, with the hiking event drawing around 50 more, establishing it as a significant mountain competition distinct from large city races. La Sagra, the highest peak in Andalusia outside of Sierra Nevada, dictates the challenging climbs that define the event. The race has been featured twice in the Spanish Cup, four times in the Andalusian Cup, and once in the World Cup, and is a UTMB Index Race.
