Courir à Brive

Courir à Brive is a 10 km road race held in Brive-la-Gaillarde, within the Corrèze department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. It takes place in late April and is part of the mass-participation road running scene, attracting over 1,000 participants in its last edition. The 10 km race is short, flat, and accessible, consisting of two 5 km circuits with approximately 31 metres of elevation gain and 32 metres of descent. The course winds around lakes and ponds near Brive, avoiding a lengthy point-to-point format. Alongside the main 10 km event, there are races for children and juniors, making it suitable for families, club runners, and those new to the 10 km distance. Its motto, “Gare à la Brise !”, is a play on the city’s name. The race offers a chance to explore Brive and the nearby French heritage sites, with locations like Sarlat, Padirac, and the Lacave caves accessible post-race.
