Les Foulées de Vertou is a trail and nature-running series in Vertou, south of Nantes in Loire-Atlantique. Typically held in early October, it is organized by La Vaillante de Vertou with FSCF involvement. The main options are a 24 km trail and a 10 km nature race, with a shorter race also offered. This local club race is heading into its 34th edition.
The routes follow Vertou’s paths, narrow lanes, and parks before reaching the Vertavien vineyard. A notable course feature is the passage by Château du Coing beside the Maine, giving the race a distinct local identity. The finish area is at Parc du Loiry, offering podiums and prizes for the top three men and women, food and a bar, entertainment, massages from professional physiotherapists, oysters, and a selfie booth. The race also connects with the “En Ver et contre Tou !” event, mentioning a charitable cause and an environmental commitment.
