The Saint-Tropez Classic begins at the port of Saint-Tropez, with participants starting together for either the 16 km Saint-Tropez Classic or the 8 km La Tropézienne. This is a road race held on town streets and nearby areas, organized by the local running association Courir à Saint-Tropez. Both adult races are open to licensed and unlicensed runners, with junior, senior, and master categories for women and men.
The route guides runners through the main streets and narrow alleys of the old town, past the foot of La Citadelle, along the Baie des Canebiers, and into the finish on Place des Lices. The 16 km option extends toward the Salins road, while the 8 km race remains within town and also includes cadet runners. A single registration covers both adult distances, allowing runners to decide during the race whether to complete 8 km or continue to 16 km. The event also features the Minots race for children, with 800 m, 1400 m, and 2000 m courses for young age groups from athletics school through minime.
