Trail Urbain Verdunois is an urban trail event in Verdun, Meuse, Grand Est, France, held in mid-October. Runners can choose from short city-based trail distances, primarily 8 km and 15 km, alongside Nordic walking and children’s or junior races. The longest trail is a single 15 km loop with approximately 150 metres of elevation gain, while the 8 km option offers about 70 metres of climbing.
The routes traverse Verdun itself, utilizing city streets, the Meuse riverbanks, the citadel's heights, and ascents toward the forts above town. This setup accommodates mixed groups, including trail runners, walkers, families, and younger participants. The prior edition attracted over 500 participants, leveraging Verdun’s unique character as a working city deeply connected to memory and military history.
