Transvésubienne 2026

Transvésubienne is a mountain bike race held in the Alpes-Maritimes of southeast France, based in Valdeblore with long routes in the mountains above the French Riviera. Typically run in early autumn, it features several formats: the 88 km TransVésubienne Ultra, the 60 km TransVésubienne Explorer, a 60 km Rando Vésubienne, and courses for children and juniors. The Ultra is the main event, featuring approximately 2,800 m of climbing and 4,100 m of descending. The 60 km routes involve around 1,700 m of ascent and 2,300 m of descent. The race has been a fixture in French mountain biking for over thirty-five years, known for its challenging terrain rather than just distance. The Ultra route runs solo from La Colmiane towards Nice, connecting Mercantour-style mountain trails to a finish near the coast. Riders encounter significant climbs, technical singletrack, and demanding descents, attracting experienced mountain bikers. E-MTB riders are accommodated, with battery limitations and organizer assistance for changes or charging during the race.
