UTMA - Ultra Trail du Mont Afrique is a 100 km trail race starting in Corcelles-les-Monts, a village in Côte-d'Or near the Dijon metropolitan area. Participants have 24 hours to complete the 4,000 metres of elevation gain, running solo or in a relay team of two to four people. The race typically takes place in mid-October, offering autumn conditions instead of summer heat.
The course consists of four loops from a central base camp at the Salle des Fêtes in Corcelles-les-Monts. Solo runners run all four loops; relay teams can divide the segments among teammates. The trails are situated around Corcelles-les-Monts and Mont Afrique, passing by lakes and ponds. The inaugural event attracted 500 participants, a solid turnout for a challenging local 100K.
