The Linacre Infini Trail Run is a 6-hour lapped trail race held at Linacre Reservoirs, near Chesterfield. It begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 3:00 pm. Rather than running a set distance, participants complete as many 5 km laps as possible within the time limit. This format accommodates runners seeking a consistent trail run and those aiming for a higher mileage total.
The course winds through Linacre’s wooded valley, featuring three reservoirs set amongst maintained trails and footpaths. The route is clearly marked, and each lap returns participants to the start/finish checkpoint. Here, runners can find sweet and savoury food, along with drinks including water. The valley terrain includes some climbs that accumulate over the laps. Registration takes place at Linacre Reservoirs on Woodnook Lane; parking is subject to a separate charge.
