Zwarte Dennen Cross 2026

The Zwarte Dennen Cross is a November cross-country race held around De Zwarte Dennen, a recreational forest area within the Staatsbossen of Staphorst, near Punthorst. Participants can select from four race distances: 900 meters and 1,250 meters for youth, and 5 km and 10 km for adults. The course follows unpaved forest paths, sandy roads, and bridle paths, offering a true woodland cross-country run rather than a road race with some dirt sections. This event is included in the Vechtdal Crosscompetitie series. It accommodates up to 1,000 runners and maintains a practical setup with available parking, a first aid station, a supervised cloakroom, and registration on site.
