Bieg Herosa Maj is a sandy off-road race series on the Błędów Desert in Klucze, in Poland’s Małopolska region. The start area is around Róża Wiatrów on the desert, so runners are dealing with open ground rather than forest trails or city streets. It is a May event built around endurance running, obstacle racing, Nordic walking, and dog-friendly races, with options ranging from short 5 km and 7 km events to timed challenges of 3 hours and 9 hours.
The course uses natural desert terrain: packed sand, loose sand, and rough tracks, with wind and sun exposure adding to the effort. Nomada 9h is a loop race for runners who want to keep moving for most of the day, while Nomada 3h is a shorter sand-based endurance test. Miraże and Lisy Pustyni offer 5 km and 7 km formats, and Bieg Z Psem lets people race the same distances with a dog. The mix makes the event less like a standard road race and more like a day of choosing how much sand, time, and unpredictability you want to take on.
