The Carnival Run is a 23.2 km mountain race in Krakow, Poland. It begins in Wolski Forest during the winter carnival period and is one of five races in the Krakow Grand Prix in Mountain Running, a local series featuring different distances on the city’s forest running routes. This race is for solo runners, starts in the morning, and includes 913 meters of climbing and nearly the same amount of descent.
The course offers a challenging, compact mountain-style effort within Krakow: just over 23 km, one aid station, and a 3 hour 30 minute time limit. The event is part of Poland’s National League, awards ITRA points, and is rated at Mountain Level 4 with Finisher Level 400. The Grand Prix series is in its 14th edition and aims to encourage runners of all ages onto the trails while highlighting Wolski Forest as a primary location for off-road running in Krakow.
