Zgierz Malinka is a cross-country race held in the forest surrounding the Malinka recreation complex in Zgierz, Poland. The course features sandy terrain and significant climbs, differing from a typical city-street race. The main event provides 4 km, 8 km, and 12 km distances along the same path, meaning participants run one, two, or three laps. All main race participants begin simultaneously, irrespective of their chosen distance. A 4 km Nordic walking event is also part of the program.
The start, finish, race office, and event village are situated at MOSiR Zgierz Malinka, adjacent to the kayak marina and near the recreational grounds. Separate races are organized for children and teenagers around the pond: 800 meters for ages 7-15 and 150 meters for younger children. The venue also offers family activities, including a playground, pumptrack, and water playground. Participants who finish the race are awarded medals shaped like raspberries, referencing the Malinka name. The top three women and men in each distance category are presented with distinct cups.
