15th Annual LCEC 5K

The LCEC 5K is a Resolution Run 5K held at Jim Jeffers Park in Cape Coral, Florida, hosted by LCEC to benefit United Way. The primary event is a morning 5K run/walk, featuring a live race at the park and a virtual option for remote participation. A Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run for ages 12 and under, and a free Tot Trot for children 4 and under, are also part of the day. This structure makes it feel more like a community race morning than an event exclusively for runners. The course starts and finishes at Jim Jeffers Park. The 5K begins first, followed by the kids' race, and then the Tot Trot. Beach Bum Timing manages the race results, and live 5K participants can opt for text results during registration. Awards extend beyond the overall male and female winners to include categories for masters, grand masters, senior grand masters, veterans grand masters, and various age groups. This fundraiser has generated over $47,000 for United Way since its inception, underscoring the enduring appeal of this local 5K.
