Al Kress Memorial Mile/Duck Island Fall Mile 2026

The Al Kress Memorial Mile/Duck Island Fall Mile is a one-mile evening race at Warriors Path State Park in Kingsport, Tennessee. It maintains a simple structure: SFTC members participate for free, non-members pay a small fee, and the event foregoes the typical shirts and awards. The program divides the mile into a competitive walk, girls 14-and-under, boys 14-and-under, and adult races for men and women. It is included in several State of Franklin Track Club series, such as KFOM, the Adult Mile series, and K&Q, and performances can qualify for Tennessee state records. Volunteers also earn SFTC Volunteer points and K&Q credit, making it as much a club night as a race night.
