Gift of Life 5K Run/Walk & 1K Kids Dash 2026

The Gift of Life 5K Run/Walk & 1K Kids Dash is an annual morning race held at Lady Bird Johnson Park in San Antonio. Registration begins at 8:00 AM, with the race commencing at 9:00 AM. The primary event is a 5K suitable for both walkers and runners. Additionally, the 1K Kids Dash offers a shorter race for children aged 11 and under. The park's paved and accessible course is designed for families, children, walkers, and runners, not exclusively for competitive racers. The 5K features three age categories: Teens (12-17), Primers (18-39), and Masters (40+). Transplants for Children organizes this event, presented by the Gordon Hartman Family Foundation. Teams are encouraged to wear matching shirts or costumes to honor a transplant warrior. All participants, including children, will receive a medal.
