Heartland

Heartland is a 30K race series composed of three separate 10K races held on consecutive September weekends. The first event is the Plaza 10K on Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. This series format offers runners a shorter race each weekend rather than a single long race day. The specific race lineup differs depending on the schedule version. One version proceeds with the Hustle Run 10K and concludes with the Boulevard 10K. Another version includes the WoodsStock 10K at Corporate Woods in Overland Park and the Oktoberfest 10K on Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard in Kansas City. Participants completing all three races earn a Heartland 30K series shirt and a series finisher medal, featuring a new medal design annually. Overall and age-group runners also receive awards.
