The North Dakota State Fair Run the Route 5K traces the path of the fair parade in Minot, North Dakota. This summer 5K is held annually in conjunction with the North Dakota State Fair. It begins at 8:45 am at Our Redeemers Church, near the South Hill Sports Complex, and concludes at State Fair Gate E on Burdick Expressway.
The event is straightforward and suitable for families. Adults and teens pay a set fee, children aged 8 to 12 have a reduced price, and those 7 and under participate without charge. All finishers gain entry to the State Fair. The top three male and female runners are awarded trophies and concert tickets. Winners in age groups receive smaller prizes. A portion of the race's income benefits local youth running initiatives, including BIOGirls and Strides for Sunnyside.
