Pacesetter Sports Presents: The Mile

The Mile is a one-mile Independence Day race held at Indiana State University’s Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute, Indiana. Sponsored by Pacesetter Sports, it is a straightforward, short-distance event with distinct heats for women, men, walkers, and children. The course begins one mile north of the stadium on Brown Boulevard and concludes near the stadium grounds. The event features a paid run, a paid walk-only division, and a free Lace It Up! Kids Running Program race for participants 13 and under. Funds raised benefit the kids running program via the Wabash Valley Road Runners. Trophies are awarded to overall winners, top finishers in five-year age brackets, and walkers. Organizers ensure the walk division is protected, as competitive walkers treat it with seriousness.
